Look at the databases we check:
National Criminal Database Search
Database searches are designed to do a broad sweep within all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Records are sent from the county, to the state, to the FBI and may not be updated as frequently as state reports.
Criminal Records Search
State criminal records are managed by each individual state. In Georgia, for example, all of these records are compiled by the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) which is managed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. The GCIC receives records from over 600 state and local law enforcement agencies each month and is updated real-time. We get results in less than 24 hours but they are much more accurate than many “rapid-result” services.
Sex Offender Registry Search
The U.S. Department of Justice reports that there are more than 500,000 registered Sex Offenders nationwide. Statistics show that sex offenders are four times more likely to be repeat offenders. Based on this information, companies should be encouraged to perform this search to rule out the potential of hiring someone with a past history of sexual offenses. Performing this check on applicants helps reduce a company’s risk of workplace violence and potential negligent hiring lawsuits.
Consumer Credit Reports
Credit reports provide a detailed credit history including revolving (credit cards) and installment (mortgage, car loans) accounts, payment history, and public record information such as bankruptcy, judgments, liens and collections. Also provided are current and former addresses, employers, and names and aliases as reported by financial institutions to the credit bureau.
Business Credit Reports
Would you like to know more about a company before deciding whether or not to do business with them? An accurate business credit report provides access to the pertinent information needed for making informed business decisions about who you do business with.
DMV Driving Reports
Driving records, also known as motor vehicle reports (MVR’s), provide the driving history of an individual. Reports consist of identifying factors, issue date and expiration date of the license, and permit information. It will also include violations, convictions, accidents, suspensions and revocations. Available in all 50 states (cost varies by state).
Social Security Number Verification (Social Trace)
The information returned on a social trace includes all of the names, including aliases and variations, all of the dates of birth, and all address history associated with that SSN. Sometimes a social trace will return a “No Hit” if the applicant has little or no credit history or has just recently been issued a social security number.
Employment Verification (8-10 year maximum)
A common complaint among employers is they went to the time and expense of hiring a new employee just to find out that they’ve lied about experience and/or job history on their employment application. Let the experts at AllCheck contact their current and/or prior employers to verify dates of employment and official job titles and duties.
Federal Excluded Parties Check
The Excluded Parties List System, or EPLS, is a list maintained by the Federal government that identifies those individuals excluded from receiving Federal contracts, certain subcontracts, and certain types of Federal financial and non-financial assistance and benefits. The list also includes individuals barred from entering the United States.
Worldwide Patriot Act Check
The purpose of the Patriot Act is to deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world, to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools, and to strengthen U.S. measures to prevent, detect and prosecute international money laundering and financing of terrorism. When you request a Patriot Act Check, we cross reference the subject’s name against the government-maintained list of known terrorists.
Workers Compensation Search
A search of state Workers’ Compensation Records provides information regarding an employee’s past work-related injuries which resulted in a workers’ compensation claim. The search is not permitted or available in all states, and it requires anywhere from no paperwork to an official state form, signed and notarized in the states where it is available. This search is only performed post-job offer, as per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The 10-panel drug screening test is a drug test method that screens for 10 drugs. This type of test can detect several illegal drugs as well as high levels of prescription drugs that have the potential for abuse. The testing procedure is relatively simple and provides results quickly, making it a valuable tool for your business. A standard 10-panel drug urine test typically looks for cocaine, marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, propoxyphene, & Quaaludes.
This is an easy & inexpensive way to determine the validity of an applicant’s educational history. U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the U.S. E-Verify is a system that compares information from an employee’s Form I-9 to U.S. Dept of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration records to confirm employment eligibility. Georgia employers of more than 10 full-time workers must enroll in E-Verify. Additionally, the Georgia E-Verify law requires contractors and all sub-contractors on Georgia public contracts for services over $2,499.99 in value to enroll in E-Verify, regardless of the number of employees.
FDA/ORA Debarment List
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) are responsible for the regulation of the pharmaceutical/drug industry. The FDA’s authority to debar people from the drug industry comes from the Generic Drug Enforcement Act of 1992, often called the “debarment act” because it authorizes, and sometimes even requires, the FDA to forbid people (or firms) convicted of certain crimes- crimes related to the FDA’s regulation of drugs – from participating in the drug industry.
If the position you’re trying to fill is in the pharmaceutical industry, this check is a must to make sure your applicant is not barred from working in the industry due to past crimes.
